Foreclosure in Boston
Información en español para la ejecución de una hipoteca.
After years of low foreclosure rates, Boston began to experience a dramatic increase in foreclosures in 2006. Mayor Thomas Menino responded with a number of city initiatives, including increased funding to community organizations to continue or expand their housing counseling services, and working with lenders to establish a list of “First Choice Lenders” which have agreed to follow a set of fair lending guidelines. Boston also piloted the “Don’t Borrow Trouble” ad campaign to warn residents about predatory lending.
