General membership is open to all persons eighteen (18) years of age or older who live or work in Hyde Park or Roslindale. Community members are encouraged to participate in the following committees. For more information please call SWBCDC at 617-364-7300.
Development Committee: Realtors, union carpenters, developers, and concerned residents work with staff to identify potential sites for development and potential development partners; selects consultants to work on development projects; and monitors progress of development projects.
Service and Organizing Committee: Board members and community volunteers oversee organizing campaigns and community services projects including voter education and registration, and foreclosure prevention, and environmental justice campaigns.
02136, All Things Hyde Park: Residents from neighborhoods around Hyde Park work on projects to unify and promote Hyde Park.
Hyde Park Arts Initiative: A Partnership of local artists, arts organizations and businesses that promotes the arts as an important economic driver for Hyde Park. The Partners organize annual community-wide arts and business meetings, and support community-wide arts events such as the Arts/Business Kick-off, Hyde Park Open Studios and the Hyde Park Artscene summer arts festival.
