This cultural event would leverage the diversity of the Hyde Park neighborhood and create a fun family friendly entertainment event with a different culture featured each weekend. It continues a series of great summertime Hyde Park events following its Juneteenth and Celebrate Hyde Park festivities over the last month.
Live music acts would be featured on the Friday evenings from 7 PM to 9 PM with a different live DJ from Spark FM each of the 4 Fridays during the event. Saturdays during the 4 weekends would feature a pop up market from 3 PM to 7 PM, consisting of 11 or 12 vendors.
A way to support the businesses is the Passport Card program. A grand prize drawing consisting of a $500 package
including gift cards to the local businesses as well as a free iPad will be drawn at the end of the 4 week event
To enter the contest Bridgefest attendees need to frequent 4 participating businesses and have their passport stamped. There will be both a QR code driven guide to those participating businesses as well as a paper copy version available. Many of the local businesses will be offering discounts and promotions to the attendees upon showing their passport and those discounts will also be listed via the QR code.
