Jeanne DuBois

Executive Director

jdubois@swbcdc.org

Jeanne joined SWBCDC in the Fall of 2018 after 20 years as Executive Director of Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation. In her short time as ED, Jeanne pushed our local expansion of Boston’s Access & Opportunity Program (AOP). Receiving commitments of $8M from the City and PCI, Property & Casualty Initiative, SWBCDC is acquiring 30 rental units to stabilize current tenancies for low-moderate income individuals and families. In addition to eight apartments in 2016, SWBCDC acquired three new rental properties this year in a joint venture with for-profit joint venture partners. Our pipeline also includes larger mixed-income developments.

As ED of Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation, she oversaw the development of 800 units of affordable/mixed-income housing with resident-driven programs; a digital printing factory in Savin Hill; and the Commonwealth Kitchen on Quincy St.— creating more than 400 jobs. The Fairmount Indigo Rail line CDC Collaborative has worked for 16 years with Southwest Boston CDC to acquire sites for over 1000 mixed-income housing units and commercial projects; and they worked with the Fairmount Indigo Transit Coalition to help win $200M of public investments for new stations and better service and lower fares. In addition, the CDCs also helped start the Fairmount Greenway.

Jeanne and her husband Bill Coyne have lived in Roslindale for 35+ years where they raised two children and helped launch a strong neighborhood watch with wonderful block parties. A member of Hyde Park Presbyterian Church, she began faith-based organizing in Hyde Park and Roslindale which evolved into the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization (GBIO), a multi-issue organization that has supported policy change on affordable  housing funding, criminal justice reform, and broader health care. Her volunteer work as co-president on the Roslindale Village Mainstreet Board helped organize residents and businesses to create the Roslindale Village Market.

Pat is a long time Hyde Park resident and manages the Green Initiative, which includes advocacy and organizing related to climate change, as well as the Green Team Youth Jobs and Environmental Stewardship Program. Pat has over 35 years of experience as a social worker, program developer, community organizer and educator. Through the Archdiocese of Hartford, she worked with community leaders to create a neighborhood mediation program and a prison grievance program in Connecticut. For 11 years, she worked with Boston’s Public Housing residents on maintenance and modernization issues, as well as youth program development.
