Green Team Garden Crew Member

Employment Dates: July 08 – Aug 16, 2024

Salary: $15.00/Hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday 9am-2pm

Gardening Green Team Program

The Gardening Green Team is a youth jobs program, which employs youth ages 14-15 to care for food and flower gardens.

On Tuesdays youth will work at the Boston Nature Center in Mattapan, and on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday they will work for the City Sprouts program at one of the Boston Public Schools (TBD).

Crew Member Work Projects

  • Planting and caring for local vegetables and flowers

  • Learning to identify and remove harmful plants

  • Art projects using seeds to create murals

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Boston resident between the ages of 14-15

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds and do physical work outdoors for extended periods of time

  • Must work well with others as a team member

  • Interest in working outdoors; and learning about nature and gardening
